There are some events that feel like they could only happen here on the Eastern Shore — and Taste of Cambridge is one of them.
On Saturday, September 26, 2026, downtown Cambridge will come alive for the 18th annual Taste of Cambridge, a celebration of the food, agriculture, seafood and community that make this Chesapeake town such a special place to visit — and call home.
From 12:00 to 6:00 p.m., visitors can enjoy live music, local vendors, family activities, food and beverages throughout downtown. The festival takes place along Poplar Street, Gay Street and the 400 block of Race Street.

The highlight of Taste of Cambridge is the ticketed Cook-Off Competition, where local chefs compete in five categories:

This year's competition features eight local culinary teams, including Bayside Bistro, Blue Ruin, The Dive Club, GMK Catering Co., Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay, RAR Brewing, Thaitalian Infusion Cuisine LLC and Vintage 414. Together, they are serving up 18 different cook-off entries for guests to sample.
For those who want to try the cook-off offerings, advance general admission tickets are $55, with day-of tickets priced at $65.
